About the role

Supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager and Nurse Educator, to provide clinical education and neonatal nursing/midwifery care, leading to high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care. 

Key duties of the role

  • Participate in clinical teaching
  • Lead, mentor and support less experienced staff and students
  • Plan and coordinate staff education and orientation programs
  • Contribute to research and service improvement activities
  • Promote collaboration and communication across the care team

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience
  • Qualification relevant to practice setting highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
  • Experience in clinical education and staff development
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
