Take on a rewarding role where you’ll directly enhance the wellbeing and quality of life for aged care residents at Sheoak Lodge. As a Leisure & Lifestyle Co-ordinator, you will plan, implement, and evaluate engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional support for residents with diverse abilities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with residents, volunteers, and staff to create a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages participation and meaningful engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess residents’ abilities and preferences to deliver tailored group and individual activities.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate leisure and lifestyle programs, including dementia-specific activities.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of equipment, facilities, and personnel in all activities.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based documentation of resident participation and program outcomes.
  • Support, guide, and coordinate volunteers, student placements, and staff involved in activity programs.
  • Review programs with residents, representatives, and volunteers to adapt and improve offerings.
  • Contribute to high-quality care by integrating health promotion and supporting residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Undertake professional development, mandatory training, and participate in Quality Improvement programs.

  • Do you have previous experience in residential aged care or leisure and lifestyle programs?
  • Are you confident in organising and delivering engaging activities for older adults with diverse needs?
  • Do you enjoy supporting volunteers and guiding staff to provide meaningful experiences for residents?
  • Are you reliable, organised, and committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment?
  • Do you hold or are willing to maintain an AQF Certificate III relevant to the role?
