Healthcare Analytics Manager - Turn Data into Better Care!

Join the SALHN Project Management Office (PMO) as a Data Insights and Analytics Lead / Manager and help deliver projects that make a real difference for the Southern community. This full-time ongoing role provides an opportunity to meaningfully influence patient outcomes while developing your career within one of Australia’s largest public health systems.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager, this role is responsible for providing leadership in supporting the data requirements to plan, implement and close high impact projects that PMO is leading.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Lead the development, implementation and facilitation of complex data analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions, as well as successful delivery of Projects.
  • Scope, develop, test and deliver appropriate Business Intelligence Applications to support data analytics, reporting, visualisations and business analysis,
  • Lead and contribute to the design, development, delivery of processes and systems to support the operational performance insights to SALHN Executive and Board,
  • Proactively participating and providing leadership in governance committees and leadership meetings,
  • Utilise Project Methodology principles or Framework to support delivery of information

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology or related discipline.
  • Experience in managing and analysing complex data, including health data.
  • Strong experience in working with computer systems and applications including business intelligence, spreadsheets, word processing, databases, statistical packages, and clinical costing systems

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a ASO7 or ASO8 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Shortlisting will occur on the week of 15 December, with interviews being undertaken mid to late January 2026
