Join Our Team as an Allied Health Assistant – Step Into Podiatry and Support Better Foot Health

Make a difference in people’s lives by supporting podiatrists in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred foot care services across the Riverland Mallee Coorong region.

About the Role:

As an Allied Health Assistant in Podiatry, you’ll provide essential hands-on support to podiatrists and patients in clinical, community, and outpatient settings. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, assisting with basic foot care under supervision, and supporting health promotion and education activities.

You’ll also contribute to administrative tasks, help ensure smooth clinic operations, and uphold workplace health and safety standards. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced clinicians, gaining valuable practical experience and building technical skills in a supportive rural health environment.

With access to structured learning and AHA podiatry skill modules, you’ll develop confidence, capability, and the satisfaction of helping clients maintain mobility, comfort, and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a service environment.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 30 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
