About the Role

Join our team to make a tangible impact on the future of aged care and disability services. The Project Officer Ageing and Disability Reform will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting projects that drive change aligned with Commonwealth aged care and disability reform initiatives. You will contribute to strategic community programs, support regional LHNs in achieving compliance and performance targets, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across government, non-government, and community sectors. This is a unique opportunity to be part of transformative projects that improve lives, build capability, and enhance service delivery in regional health networks.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Project Officer Ageing and Disability Reform, you will:

  • Lead and support projects and programs that implement Commonwealth aged care and disability reforms across rLHNs.
  • Provide expert advice, prepare reports, and support executive decision-making to ensure compliance, quality, and improved service outcomes.
  • Facilitate collaboration and training across teams, building capability and shared understanding of reform initiatives.
  • Contribute to planning, development, and management of community programs, funding initiatives, and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Do you have strong project and change management skills with the ability to implement initiatives effectively across multiple teams?
  • Are you collaborative and engaging, able to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders?
  • Do you have knowledge of aged care and/or disability services, including NDIS frameworks and Commonwealth reform agendas?
  • Are you a strategic thinker, with excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills in complex and politically sensitive environments?

About RSS

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health and provides services throughout regional South Australia to support the six regional local health networks (LHNs). It employs around 260 people who work in 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, or in the RSS’s three Adelaide offices.
