About the role

As the Administration Officer, Radiology, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Radiology Unit, which delivers services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You will provide high-quality administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff, assisting with patient bookings, record management, correspondence, and the coordination of day-to-day administrative functions. Your role contributes directly to the delivery of timely, accurate, and patient-centred care within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Reporting to the Administration Coordinator Radiology and Administration Manager Radiology, you will be part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, communication, and efficiency. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including patients, clinicians, and allied health professionals, ensuring administrative processes align with departmental policies and operational standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of critical diagnostic services while developing your skills within a dynamic healthcare setting.

  • Educational/Vocational Qualifications: No formal qualifications are required for this position.

  • Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with staff, patients, and the public. Proven organisational and time management skills with the capacity to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in administrative, data entry, or secretarial roles, including customer service in public-facing environments and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of Work Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity legislation, and sound knowledge of administrative systems and customer service principles.
