About the Role:

The Administrative Assistant is directly responsible to the Patient Services Manager and plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service. This position provides high-quality, confidential administrative and customer service to clients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for all. You will be responsible for a range of clerical duties including data entry, record management, and communication coordination, helping maintain accurate and timely information flow throughout the service.

In addition to managing front-line enquiries and supporting internal teams, the Administrative Assistant contributes to the smooth delivery of patient services by assisting with scheduling, documentation, and general office administration. This role requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment. By maintaining efficient administrative systems and a strong customer focus, you will help ensure the continued delivery of high-quality care and service to the local community.

About You:

  • A high level of competency in the use of computers, word processing and office administration processes and procedures.
  • Sound word processing and data entry skills.
  • Experience in providing administrative and clerical support services.
  • Developing spreadsheets, using the Microsoft Excel application.
