About the role: 

Reporting to the Clinical Director (Operationally) ED, Allied Health (Professionally), some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Develop and negotiate teaching services, research grants and pilot projects in consultation with Clinical Director, Divisional Heads of Unit and Allied Health Service Managers
  • Providing a role model and establishing mechanisms to facilitate effective communication and foster cohesive cooperative and collaborative working relations in the division
  • Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations
  • Direct and support the Allied Health Service Managers to set and achieve outcome standards, patient throughput targets and provide services within the income derived from the application of the case mix formula and other income as appropriate
  • Provide expert clinical care advice / support or service to a complex patient group in the Women’s & Children’s Division within area of expertise

About you:

  • Must hold an appropriate Allied Health degree level qualification and membership (or eligibility for membership) with the relevant professional association, and/or registration with the relevant Board, as prescribed by the SA Health Workforce Operations Advice: Minimum qualification requirements for nonexecutive SA Health employees
  • Strong financial management and budget management
  • Programme planning and strategic planning with effective outcomes
  • Effective communication and negotiation
