About the Role

The Adelaide EpiCentre (Centre for Clinical Epidemiology) is dedicated to improving the quality and impact of clinical research across CALHN campuses. As a grant-funded scientist, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven projects that aim to enhance patient care, outcomes, and access to services. Your work will involve extracting and analysing data from hospital and related databases, contributing directly to evidence-based clinical practice.

In this collaborative and stimulating role, you will work under the guidance of senior Centre staff, applying your expertise in database management, quantitative analysis, and scientific writing. Based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the position also offers opportunities for affiliate status with the University of Adelaide, providing an enriching environment for professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference in patient care through high-quality research.

About You

You are an analytical and highly motivated research professional with a strong foundation in scientific methods and data analysis. With excellent communication and project coordination skills, you thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary research environments and contribute effectively to improving patient care through evidence-based research.

  • You hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree and have proven experience in scientific research, including project coordination, data analysis, and contributing to publications or presentations.

  • You have well-developed skills in database management, statistical and quantitative analysis, and the presentation of complex information in clear, accessible formats.

  • You demonstrate an innovative and strategic approach, with the ability to identify research improvement opportunities, solve complex problems, and meet deadlines under professional guidance.

  • You possess expert knowledge of research design methods, clinical research procedures, and computer-based information systems, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
