About the role

The Social Worker provides specialist therapeutic support to families with infants and children at moderate to high risk. The role delivers expert advice and training to CaFHS staff, supports parenting and social-emotional wellbeing, and works closely with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to strengthen child and family outcomes.

Key duties of the role

  • Deliver specialist psychotherapy to infants, children and caregivers
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment and develop case formulation
  • Provide expert advice within multidisciplinary care teams
  • Deliver training to staff and external professionals
  • Provide supervision to AHP1 staff and students

Skills and Experience

  • Eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Experience delivering therapy to infants and families (0–3 years) at moderate to high risk
  • Ability to assess and intervene using psychological and attachment-based approaches
  • Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated delivery of training and supervision in clinical settings
