About the role

As a key member of the Medical Imaging team, the Consultant Radiologist is responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services across a wide range of modalities including plain x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI. Working within a collaborative and dynamic environment, this role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely imaging services that support the best possible outcomes for patients.

In this position, you will also provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Junior Medical Staff and Trainees, offering professional guidance and fostering their development within the department. The role includes providing consultative advice to referring clinicians on patient management and coordinating appropriate follow-up care. About You

You are an accomplished and collaborative medical imaging professional with extensive experience across multiple modalities and a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. Your ability to communicate effectively, lead by example, and contribute to a supportive learning environment will make you an invaluable member of the team.

  • Experience and Expertise: Demonstrated competence across a broad range of Medical Imaging modalities, including Ultrasound, CT and MR, supported by exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Specialist Skills: Proven proficiency in advanced imaging areas such as Musculoskeletal MR and/or Body MR (including Liver, Pancreas and MR Enterography), Pelvic MR (including Prostate, Rectal and Gynaecological MR), Cardiac MR, and Musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging with US-guided biopsies and injections.

  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of respect, professionalism and cooperation.

  • Education and Mentorship: Demonstrated capacity to teach, supervise and guide trainees, contributing to the ongoing development of future radiology professionals.
