About the Role

The Assistant Clinical Trials Coordinator coordinates the provision of a range of effective administrative support and services, which contribute to the planning, implementation and running of clinical trials conducted within the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit, Royal Adelaide Hospital. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the Investigator Site Files, the Clinical Trials data-base, and undertaking administrative aspects associated with clinical research. The Assistant Clinical Trials Coordinator provides assistance to Senior/Clinic Trial Coordinators in all aspects of clinical trial activity including preparing for patient visits, coordinating sample collections/shipment and data entry on case report forms.

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting clinical research through efficient coordination and administrative excellence. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain data accuracy, and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams enables you to thrive in a dynamic research environment.

  • Administrative and Technical Skills: Proven experience in a broad range of administrative duties, with advanced competency in Microsoft Office and computerised information systems.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across multidisciplinary teams and maintain professional relationships.

  • Organisation and Problem-Solving: Skilled in managing deadlines, prioritising tasks, and contributing to policy development, process improvement, and data management activities.

  • Knowledge and Understanding: Familiar with Good Clinical Practice, medical terminology, and the structure and operations of healthcare and hospital systems.
