About the role

As the Administrative Officer, you’ll be the warm and welcoming first point of contact within the Department of Nuclear Medicine, PET & Bone Densitometry. Your friendly approach, professionalism and strong organisational skills will help create a positive and reassuring experience for patients, visitors and staff alike. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in providing exceptional service.

You’ll be accountable for the efficient day-to-day operation of the reception area, including coordinating appointments, managing patient billing and completing routine clerical duties. Working closely with a dedicated clinical team, you’ll play an important role in supporting patient flow and ensuring the department runs smoothly. If you’re a detail-oriented administrator who thrives on teamwork and making a genuine difference, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, manage challenging situations confidently and demonstrate positive team behaviours

  • Proven ability to work independently under pressure, prioritise competing workloads and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines

  • Strong administrative capability, including experience with Microsoft Office, a broad range of clerical duties, sound numeracy, spelling and grammar, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse information, adapt to change, learn new skills efficiently and apply knowledge of medical terminology effectively
