Are you an experienced Nurse or Midwife ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Join YNLHN as an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager and support the coordination and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, while fostering team development and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proficient, person-centred nursing/midwifery care and oversee patient care plans.
  • Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leadership, team coordination, and service delivery.
  • Assist with staff management, rostering, leave, recruitment, and performance processes.
  • Facilitate change management and practice improvements within the ward/unit/service.
  • Support clinical teaching, mentoring, and professional development of students and less experienced staff.
  • Participate in clinical auditing, evaluation, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Act as a resource and role model, promoting continuity and consistency of care.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a skilled Nurse or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience, including supervision of staff and students. You’ll bring strong clinical expertise, leadership capability, and a collaborative mindset to support service excellence and team growth. You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate.
