Overview:

  • The Associate Director, Procurement Excellence is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic procurement and contract management across SA Health. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), this role leads the development and execution of a state-wide procurement excellence program, including forward planning, performance reporting, and analytics.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a forward procurement plan aligned with SA Health’s strategic priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and contract management functions.
  • Coordinate category strategy planning and delivery in collaboration with the procurement leadership team.
  • Lead a team of contract management professionals focused on grants and services.
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement frameworks and deliver value-for-money outcomes.
  • Support healthcare service delivery through effective sourcing and contract lifecycle management.
  • Act as senior delegate to the CPO, representing the function in complex and politically sensitive environments.
  • Potential to expand leadership responsibilities to other procurement teams as required.
