Rewarding Career Opportunity: Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator – Streaky Bay MPS

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to provide meaningful and engaging diversional activities for residents at Streaky Bay MPS This role supports residents’ independence, wellbeing, and sense of self-worth through social, recreational, and therapeutic programs.

Reporting to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing via the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individual and group diversional therapy programs that enhance the quality of daily life for older persons and people with disabilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position e.g. Community Services, Aged Care, Diversional Therapy, Leisure and Health or other relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a range of people across the organisation.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 68.4 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
