About the Role

Step into a pivotal role at the heart of patient care as a Ward Clerk Administration Officer within our Surgical Programs. You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for patients, families and staff, providing essential clerical and reception support that keeps the ward running smoothly. Your work will play a key part in effective patient care management, bed coordination and overall ward administration, helping ensure a seamless experience for both patients and the multi-disciplinary team.

In this role, no two days are the same. You’ll collaborate closely with nursing, medical and administrative staff, supporting a dynamic environment where your organisation, communication and teamwork skills make a real difference. About You

You are an organised, proactive and personable professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, supporting patients, staff and multidisciplinary teams with efficiency and care.

  • Excellent communicator and team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, visitors and colleagues.

  • Highly organised and resourceful with proven ability to prioritise workloads, work independently, and adapt to new procedures and changes.

  • Experienced in administration with competency in office systems, Microsoft Office, EMR (Sunrise an advantage), and maintaining confidentiality in patient-focused environments.

  • Committed to quality and safety with sound knowledge of general administrative procedures, customer service principles, and workplace policies including WHS and EEO.
