Overview:

The Store Person, Vaccine Warehouse Operations, is responsible for delivering efficient and prompt warehouse and distribution services at the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre. Maintaining supply chain activity within a cold storage environment.

 

The key outcomes for this role are:

  • Upholding and contributing to the Health, Safety and Welfare of themselves and others working at the SA Health Vaccine Distribution centre
  • Efficient and effective handling of vaccine inventory across the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch for the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre.
  • Efficient receiving and dispatch operations that meet industry standards for the storage of vaccines and South Australian Health objectives, including:
  • Ensuring accuracy in picking activities and the dispatch and delivery of vaccine orders to service providers.
  • Maintenance of high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the SA Health Vaccine Distribution Centre.

 

The incumbent:

  • Must be prepared to be rotated into the ambient SA Health Distribution Centre as required.
  • May be required to work out of business hours including on-call capacity after hours, weekends and public holidays.
  • Will be required to conduct work within cold room temperatures.
  • Will be required to operate various materials handling equipment such as forklift or reach-truck. The incumbent must hold a current license for this equipment or have the ability to acquire the necessary licenses.
  • Must have a current South Australian motor vehicle driver’s license.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
