This full-time, short-term contract position runs until 21 February 2027, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to our health network.
About the Role
Located within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, you will work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to medical patients. This role provides the perfect platform to advance your clinical expertise while supporting patients through their recovery journey.
You’ll work with patients who present with complex clinical needs, optimising their functional outcomes and supporting safe discharge planning. This role combines hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities, including supervising, training and mentoring rotational staff, contributing to service development, and driving quality improvement initiatives.
About You
You’re an experienced physiotherapist who thrives in an acute hospital setting and is passionate about improving patient outcomes. You bring:
- Qualifications & Registration – Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Clinical Expertise – Extensive experience in acute medicine and surgical physiotherapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination
- Leadership Skills – Ability to supervise staff, mentor students, and contribute to service development and policy review
- Communication & Collaboration – Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients, families, and stakeholders
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving – Skilled at managing competing priorities in a dynamic hospital environment
- Commitment to Quality – Knowledge of best practice guidelines, safety standards, and continuous improvement principles.
Postgraduate qualifications in physiotherapy or related field, and experience in research or quality improvement projects are highly desirable.
