Build Your Leadership Journey: Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager - Kimba Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to support high-quality, person-centred nursing and midwifery services at Kimba Hospital. This role is ideal for a confident practitioner who is ready to step into leadership, contribute to service development, and help guide the next generation of nurses and midwives.

Working closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring consistent, coordinated care, supporting team performance, and contributing to effective ward or unit management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years (full time equivalent) post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Must be endorsed and credentialled in order to prescribe medications or to order diagnostics to the scope and context of their practice.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
