Are you enthusiastic about supporting individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives? Sheoak Lodge Aged Care is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our residents.

About the Role: As a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant, you'll play a vital role in encouraging our residents to maintain their independence and participate in a diverse range of meaningful activities. Your role will be centred around supporting their individual needs, goals, and preferences, all while enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and reviewing a diverse recreational program that promotes a normal and enjoyable lifestyle for residents, respecting their individuality, rights, and freedom of choice.
  • Support and guide students, volunteers, and staff in delivering activities, encouraging participation across all areas and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Liaise with the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, residents, and other staff to ensure programs meet resident needs and preferences, including maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and service improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care and recreational service delivery.

Applicant Information

This is a part time (0.63 FTE) vacancy, working 48 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
