Lead the way as a Theatre Orderly Training Officer in this rewarding full-time role!

 About the role:  

This role will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs for theatre orderlies, focusing on patient movement, infection control, equipment handling, and theatre logistics. You will work alongside coordinators, clinical staff, and management to ensure high standards of patient care and safety while identifying and addressing training needs across theatre operations.

  • Design and deliver educational materials for theatre orderlies covering theoretical knowledge and practical skills development
  • Monitor and assess the performance of theatre orderlies to identify areas for improvement and additional training needs
  • Continuously review and update training programs to reflect advancements in hospital workflows, equipment and theatre procedures

About you:  

  • Demonstrate extensive theatre experience with comprehensive knowledge of operating room processes, safety and infection control principles
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care, consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
  • Demonstrate skills in designing effective training materials and facilitating learning experiences that improve workplace performance
