About the Role

In this position, you will provide expert nursing or midwifery services across a variety of healthcare settings, supporting patients with compassionate, evidence-based care. You will also play a key role in mentoring and guiding less experienced staff, helping them grow from competent to proficient practitioners while maintaining accountability for your own professional practice.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in the leadership and management of the ward, unit or service. This includes promoting continuity and consistency of care, assisting with practice improvements, and contributing to essential management functions such as staffing, rostering, performance management, and resource planning. About You

You are an experienced and highly motivated Nurse or Midwife, passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while supporting and developing your team.

  • Registered and experienced Nurse with current practising certificate and a minimum of three years post-registration experience.

  • Strong communicator and team player with skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Competent and confident practitioner with experience supervising students and junior staff, and delivering care to professional standards.

  • Knowledgeable and proactive in contemporary nursing practice, quality improvement, legislation, and healthcare standards.
