About the role

Provide intensive therapeutic support to young people (12–25) under Guardianship at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation. Work with families, carers and agencies to deliver trauma-informed care. Collaborate closely with DCP, Aboriginal organisations and multidisciplinary teams. Provide mobile, flexible and assertive outreach support across multiple locations.

Key duties of the role

  • Safeguard vulnerable young people through trauma-informed, safety-focused care
  • Deliver intensive therapeutic and group interventions for complex trauma
  • Strengthen partnerships with families, carers and multi-agency partners
  • Provide culturally safe support for Aboriginal young people and communities
  • Offer flexible outreach services across settings to meet individual needs

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Social Work with AASW eligibility or membership
  • Minimum 2 years therapeutic experience with vulnerable young people
  • Experience in trauma, crisis and sexual assault intervention
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently and under pressure
  • Willingness to travel and provide outreach-based counselling
