About the role

The Administration Officer is accountable for contributing to a confidential reception and effective administrative service for Yarrow Place Rape & Sexual Assault Service and providing a supportive and effective frontline reception/administration.

Key duties of the role

  • Confidential, courteous, empathetic, and prompt triage of clients both face-to-face and over the telephone, providing accurate and timely information to callers.
  • Greet visitors in an efficient, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Ensure data entry is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Organise scheduled servicing and maintenance of Fleet SA Vehicles, including reconciliation of the monthly logbooks.
  • Arranging appointments and maintaining service diaries.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in undertaking secretarial, administrative, and clerical work.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and discretion with all clients of the service, and to provide an empathic response to victims of rape and sexual assault.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality provisions.
