About the role

The Nurse Consultant - Research & Data leads clinically focused research and quality initiatives within DPCCM, improving patient outcomes through data-driven practice and, ensuring funded trials, governance compliance and enhanced patient care.

Key duties of the role

  • Lead and collaborate in all stages of research projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder to promote research and practice development
  • Liaise with staff to clarify practice issues suitable for research and data to improve quality
  • Identify opportunities for research that can lead to improvements in patient care
  • Maintain an effective quality service and work collaboratively with other quality clinicians

Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurses with at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
  • Effective Leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice
  • Demonstrated ability in the facilitation of change management
