About the Role:

A great opportunity is available for an organised and motivated Administration Support Officer to join the Northern Mental Health Private Practice team within NALHN. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys providing high‑quality administrative support.

As an Administration Support Officer, you will deliver efficient, confidential and professional administrative services to support the daily operations of the Private Practice team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • maintaining accurate client records and managing appointment schedules
  • responding to telephone and general enquiries
  • processing Medicare billing and supporting financial workflows
  • liaising with staff, clients, external partners and members of the public
  • using systems such as CBIS, Q‑Master, PBRC, Transcription Module and Microsoft Office applications

About You:

In this role you will bring strong administrative capability, excellent communication skills and a proactive, and positive approach to your work. You will also demonstrate proficiency with Windows‑based systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, initiative, professionalism and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and resilience and the ability to work effectively in an environment where challenging client situations may occur.
