About the role

Join the Medical Imaging team at Flinders Medical Centre as a Senior Radiographer delivering timely and high-quality imaging services across the Emergency, Theatre, and Mobile areas. Working in close conjunction with the Head Radiographer for General, the Shift Senior Radiographers and the Senior Radiographer for Level 2 General X-ray.

You will play a key role in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment by performing complex diagnostic imaging examinations using specialised equipment, applying professional judgement, and often employing innovative scanning techniques. Your expertise will directly contribute to positive clinical outcomes and ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.

In this leadership position, you will supervise, mentor and coach a dedicated team within the Emergency Department, fostering a collaborative and professional environment. The role is multi-skilled, offering opportunities to rotate across other imaging areas depending on your skill set, allowing you to expand your expertise and make a meaningful impact across a broad range of medical imaging services.

About You

You are an experienced and motivated Radiographer, passionate about delivering safe, high-quality imaging services and supporting a collaborative clinical team.

  • Holds a recognised Diagnostic Radiography qualification, post-graduate imaging credentials, and a valid Radiation Licence.

  • Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise across a broad range of imaging procedures, including Trauma, with a focus on quality and patient safety.

  • Highly skilled in problem solving, innovation, and adapting techniques and technology to achieve accurate diagnostic outcomes.

  • Exceptional communicator and team player, able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to training and quality improvement programs.
