Are you an experienced nurse or midwife ready to take on a leadership role in clinical care? Join YNLHN as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager and provide guidance and support to nursing teams, helping to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care in your ward or service. This is your opportunity to influence care continuity, mentor staff, and contribute to operational management in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing/midwifery services across a variety of health settings, supporting staff development from competent to proficient practice.
  • Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in leading nursing/midwifery teams.
  • Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other AN/MUMs and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager.
  • Support implementation of practice changes to improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to operational management including performance management, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, and resource planning.
  • Undertake a portfolio responsibility aligned with professional development and service needs.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years’ post-registration experience (or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife). You’ll have proven competence in your area of nursing practice, experience supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses, and the ability to support and lead a clinical team effectively.

This is a part time vacancy, working 48 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
