Exciting Career Opportunity: Direct Care Worker - Residential

As a Direct Care Worker (Residential), you’ll play an important role in supporting high-quality, person-centred care for residents within our Residential Care Home. You’ll assist with day-to-day client services, contribute to meaningful diversional therapy activities, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation that supports safe, consistent care. In this role, you’ll also help maintain the smooth and efficient operation of the service by completing practical tasks, supporting colleagues, and contributing to training and work organisation. You will be expected to work flexibly across both Tumby Bay and Cummins hospitals as service needs require. Through ongoing training and development, you’ll continue to strengthen your skills while performing duties across Levels 1–4 as needed within the team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
