About the Role

As our Nurse Unit Manager, you'll step into a leadership position where your clinical expertise, compassionate approach and commitment to excellence truly shine. In this role, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations, championing best practice standards and driving continuous improvement across the unit. From mentoring staff and shaping a positive team culture to overseeing workflow, resources and patient outcomes, you’ll play a vital part in creating a safe, efficient and welcoming environment. About You

You’re a confident and compassionate nursing leader committed to delivering safe, person-centred care while empowering your team to thrive. With strong clinical capability and a collaborative approach, you consistently contribute to high-quality outcomes for patients, families and staff.

  • Registered (or eligible) Nurse with a current practising certificate and at least three years’ post-registration experience.

  • Strong leadership capability with highly developed communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution and change-management skills.

  • Proven experience managing teams, supporting staff development and supervising nurses, midwives and students.

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, with a commitment to continuous improvement and consumer engagement.
