About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Administrative Services Coordinator within the Northern Community Mental Health unit.
The Administration Services Coordinator is responsible to the Administration Manager through the Senior Administrative Officer for the provision of an effective administration support service within the Northern Mental Health Services by developing and managing strategies designed to meet the demand for an efficient and effective administration service and management of administrative support staff.

Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills:
- An ability to manage to the spirit and principles of the premier’s safety Commitment and the legislative requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA), utilising AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management- Principles and Guidelines, or to an equivalent set of standards
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to liaise and consult effectively with consumers, the community and staff at all levels including demonstrated ability to manage change and conflict to achieve successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills and ability to conceptualise problems, formulate and execute appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own time effectively and use flexibility, initiative and innovative approaches to meet changing requirements and to complete work within designated timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage/lead administration staff.
- An ability to address and manage conflict in the workplace.
- Advanced Literacy and Numeracy skills.
- Ability to work in an acute environment where the occurrence of unsettling client events is highly likely
- Demonstratable ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in successfully working within a multi-disciplinary environment including facilitating a team to collaborative outcomes, developing and implementing training programs for administration staff and liaising and consulting with a range of other external agencies.
- Experience in the use of Oracle and Basware
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in promoting and applying a commitment to a customer service culture including dealing effectively with consumer complaints through the application of knowledge and experience.
- Proven ability in diary management and preparing agendas and minutes.
- Leadership experience
- Proven experience in computing skills, including email, information systems and word processing
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.
Knowledge
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and procedures
- Understanding of the Australian National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards.
- Sound knowledge of issues related to consumer rights, responsibilities and privacy, particularly in relation to the South Australian public health system and its operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of change management principles and practices, accreditation frameworks, quality improvement.
- OHS&W, risk management, code of ethics and conduct awareness.
- Knowledge of the Community Based Information System (CBIS)

Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.
Forensic Mental Health - A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners.
Community Sites - Elizabeth GP Plus, Modbury GP Plus and Gilles Plains GP Plus Super Clinics providing community based care.
