About the role

The Executive Officer provides high-level, confidential executive support. The Executive Officer Manages diaries, committees, and correspondence, while also preparing briefs and reports, coordinating meetings, and ensuring timely, accurate support for senior leadership. One of the Executive Officer positions comes with exposure to the Aboriginal Health Division; supporting the division with high quality administrative and executive support.

Key duties of the role

  • Coordinate the delivery of a range of confidential executive support services
  • Take initiative in the identification of issues and actions related to urgent matters
  • Coordinate and deliver a range of high quality and timely administrative support and services
  • Provide a responsive initial point of contact service for all incoming Ministerials
  • Attend to enquiries from the Minister’s Office, the Department for Health and Ageing, employees and the public

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in delivering administrative and executive support services, including diary management and the preparation of confidential correspondence.
  • Experience in preparing agendas, organising meetings, and minute taking
  • Experience in maintaining and monitoring records and information management systems
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of administrative and executive support processes, practices and systems
