About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse within the Local Health Network Mental Health service, you will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based, recovery-focused care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You will engage in individual and family therapies, group programs, health promotion, and community development initiatives, supporting the well-being of consumers and their families. This role offers opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression from novice to proficient practitioner, with accountability for nursing standards, delegated care, and making a meaningful impact on consumer outcomes.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide essential support in the delivery of evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health services. Working under the guidance of experienced clinicians, you will contribute to integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. You will remain accountable for your actions and ensure high-quality care for consumers, while developing your skills and confidence in mental health nursing practice.

About You: 

  • RN/M1: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current or eligible practising certificate.
  • ENC/END: Enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current or eligible practising certificate.
  • Demonstrated nursing competence appropriate to your level of education and experience, including experience in a mental health setting.
  • Enrolled or willing to enrol in postgraduate Mental Health studies, where applicable.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
