About the role: 

Reporting to the Research Development Manager, this role is responsible for providing a range of high-quality business, administrative and project support functions to staff within Research Hub.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Administrative support for Executive Director, Research Strategy,
  • Includes diary management, correspondence monitoring, and liaising with internal/external stakeholders (SALHN executive, researchers, clinicians, university affiliates,
  • Supporting event planning and preparation activities (Research Week, Enquiry Education Series, Innovation and Research Council Meetings, and other strategic events),
  • Assisting in arranging meeting, workshop, and seminar setup requirements (organising attendees, venues, catering),
  • Management of email and telephone communication, meetings, minute taking and day-to-day workflow support,
  • Support meetings with catering orders, room bookings and set up/clean up
  •  

About you:

  • Proven ability to work effectively under general direction, either independently or in a team,
  • Ability to resolve issues, meet deadlines and effectively use work related resources and information,
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively across a multi-disciplinary environment, including the capacity to communicate collaboratively with a range of staff and customers,
  • A high level of competency in the use of computers, word processing and office administration processes and procedures,
  • Experience in carrying out a wide range of administrative duties
