About the role

Provide expert neurodevelopmental assessment and care for infants, children and young people, deliver evidence-based recommendations, and support service improvement as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Child Development Unit.

Key duties of the role

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic assessment for children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental differences
  • Apply specialist professional expertise in the provision of timely assessment, diagnosis and prognosis, and recommendations
  • Provide expert information on funding options for assessment and support
  • Operate with professional independence and clinical competence
  • Provide a range of service delivery models that are strongly grounded in the best available evidence

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated broad experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the paediatric field.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience working as a paediatric occupational therapist.
  • Previous experience in assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of standard diagnostic systems and guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, and/or staff supervision.
