Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is eager to recruit a passionate healthcare leader for the role of Physiotherapy Acute Clinical Service Coordinator to provide leadership for our dynamic, growing and supportive acute care team, and to help us deliver exceptional care to our community.
About the Role:
This role reports to the Director of Physiotherapy for clinical, professional, and operational matters and to deliver on team management and service outcomes.
The Physiotherapy Acute Clinical Service Coordinator provides strategic and clinical leadership for the acute hospital Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Assistant teams of Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals. The role provides leadership, supervision, training and support for Senior Physiotherapists and other Physiotherapy team members to ensure delivery of a patient centred high quality acute hospital Physiotherapy service that values team member wellbeing and professional growth. The Physiotherapy Acute Clinical Service Coordinator fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation, contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery across the Physiotherapy and broader Allied Health acute hospital teams.
The Physiotherapy Acute Clinical Service Coordinator provides clinical services in a fast-paced, ward-based team environment. They act as a resource in complex discharge management and Physiotherapy care for bariatric patients across the acute setting They will collaborate closely with Senior Physiotherapists, Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health teams to optimise patient outcomes, support recovery, prevent functional decline, facilitate safe discharge and enhance service efficiency. They will contribute strong clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills, and they play a critical role in ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with acute hospital Physiotherapy clinical needs.
To be eligible for this position, you must an Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
