About the Role:

Join our dedicated team at Modbury Hospital's High Dependency Unit as a Registered / Clinical Nurse. We have multiple full-time, short-term contract positions available until 15 January 2027, offering an excellent opportunity to advance your critical care nursing career within South Australia's largest public health system.

Located in Adelaide's northern suburbs, Modbury Hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services to our growing community. Our High Dependency Unit delivers specialised care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Registered Nurse - Employees classified at this level provide clinical nursing services in health service settings and work within this level  to develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience whilst accepting accountability for their own standards of nursing/midwifery care and for activities delegated to others.

Clinical Nurse - Provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners. They accept accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.

The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature, however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios which should be negotiated with each employee and consistent with their career development plan as determined by the performance review/development process.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
