About the Role

Lead and shape CALHN’s Board Secretariat and Government Relations function, supporting the CEO and Governing Board in a pivotal, high-profile role. Build strong government and stakeholder networks, drive governance excellence, and provide strategic insights to influence key decisions.

Key duties
• Manage Board operations, agendas, and legislative obligations
• Build and maintain strong government and ministerial relationships
• Prepare high-level briefings, reports, and executive correspondence
• Lead and develop a small, high-performing team
• Analyse complex data and deliver strategic insights to the CEO 

About You

You are a strategic, collaborative leader ready to drive governance and government engagement. You thrive on complex challenges and can turn insight into clear, practical advice.

• Hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
• Lead and influence teams to achieve shared objectives
• Advise and brief executives on complex sensitive issues
• Build networks and negotiate solutions with stakeholders
• Apply critical analysis to policy, projects and research
