About the role

As the Senior Administration Officer, you will play an essential part in supporting the smooth and effective operation of the NALHN Pharmacy Department. You’ll provide high-level, confidential secretarial, administrative and reception services that enable pharmacy staff to work efficiently and deliver high-quality outcomes. Your role will involve preparing educational materials, manuals, protocols and master records, coordinating reports, and offering reliable support across day-to-day tasks as well as ad hoc projects led by the Director or Associate Director of Pharmacy.

In this dynamic and multifaceted position, you’ll navigate the complexities of a multidisciplinary environment with confidence, professionalism and care. You’ll manage competing priorities, respond to routine and unexpected challenges, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that departmental, LHN and SA Pharmacy objectives are met. Your strong organisational skills, ability to align others with shared goals, and commitment to service excellence will help drive an efficient, supportive and high-performing workplace.

About You
You’re a confident and adaptable administration professional who brings strong communication, exceptional organisation and a proactive approach to supporting a high-pressure, fast-paced department.

  • Skilled communicator with excellent verbal/written ability, strong interpersonal skills and proven capacity to build productive relationships across all levels.
  • Organised, accurate and self-motivated, able to prioritise competing deadlines, work autonomously or in a team, and maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Technically proficient, bringing high-level administrative experience, strong keyboard skills, MS Office competence and confidence preparing reports, agendas, minutes and HR-related tasks.
  • Solutions-focused and resilient, with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and a positive attitude toward change, continuous improvement and working in multidisciplinary settings.
