Are you a dedicated Enrolled Nurse eager to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment? Wudinna MPS is seeking compassionate and skilled Enrolled Nurses to join our team and contribute to providing person-centred care to our patients.

About the Role

As an Enrolled Nurse at Wudinna MPS, you will support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with regulatory and statutory requirements. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your nursing skills from novice to proficient practice, working under the guidance of experienced professionals while retaining responsibility for your actions and care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Person-Centred Care: Provide compassionate and effective care to patients, engaging with them to ensure their needs and preferences are met.
  • Assessment and Routine Procedures: Demonstrate knowledge and skill in patient assessment, care, and routine procedures relevant to your area of practice.
  • Decision Making: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, plan and complete nursing care tasks, making decisions and taking initiative within your scope of practice.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement efforts and engage in the evaluation and enhancement of care practices.
  • Team Support: Assist other healthcare team members in providing care, including overseeing the work of Assistants in Nursing (AINs) and students.
  • Education and Guidance: Provide education to patients, families, and carers, and contribute to the education of others, including coordinating and guiding student enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing.
  • Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities, maintain a portfolio of learning and experience, and continue to enhance your skills and knowledge.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice
  • Ability to prioritise workload, recognise and report changes in clinical condition
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing person-centred care.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel
