WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This role provides the chance to be an integral part of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu LHN administrative team, delivering high-quality support across multiple sites. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including reception duties, patient admissions and discharges, medical records management, data entry, and supporting theatre administrative functions.

You’ll also have the opportunity to develop and expand your professional skills, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support best-practice administrative processes. By assisting staff, patients, and visitors, you’ll make a meaningful impact on the smooth running and efficiency of health services in the region. This role offers a collaborative and supportive team environment where your work directly contributes to excellent care delivery and patient experience.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Provide courteous and efficient reception and administrative support to patients, visitors, staff, and the general public.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and orientation of patients/clients, ensuring medical records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy records, data entry, reporting, and word processing tasks to support the smooth operation of the health service.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to a positive team culture, and support WHS practices.
