Lead Specialised Neuro-Behavioural Care - Allied Health Team Manager | Transform Lives at SA Health

Lead a specialist allied health team in our renowned Repat Neuro-Behavioural Unit at Flinders Medical Centre, where you'll manage comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients with complex neurological and behavioural conditions. About the role: 

Reporting to the Nursing Director State wide & Speciality Services, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Providing a consistent approach to the provision of RNBU services as outlined in the RNBU Models of Care
  • Initiating and leading quality and service improvement activities, which may include research activities where appropriate
  • Determining Allied Health team and quality procedures and processes within existing and future RNBU services, and ensuring appropriate and effective implementation and evaluation of these models
  • Promoting a workplace that supports team development and leadership within the clinical area of expertise
  • Provide consultancy and peer support on complex cases

About you:

  • Clinical experience as a senior allied health practitioner, including clinical experience with complex patients
  • Recent experience working with older persons’ mental health
  • Ability to apply specialist skills in assessing and resolving clinical problems in multi-disciplinary consultation and liaison
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; an ability to promote teamwork within the department and with other health professionals
  • Ability to assume a high level of professional responsibility and to function at a high level of professional competence and autonomy
