About the Role

As Associate Nurse Unit Manager in the Cardiothoracic Unit, you’ll support safe, consistent care while backing the Nurse Unit Manager. You’ll help lead the team, embed practice change and keep the unit running smoothly, balancing clinical oversight with people and operational priorities.

Key duties
• Support clinical leadership and day to day unit flow
• Guide and develop less experienced nursing staff
• Promote consistent, evidence based care across the unit
• Assist workforce planning, rosters, leave and attendance
• Support recruitment, performance review and work allocation
• Help manage supplies, budgets and service priorities

About You

You’re a confident cardiac nurse ready to step into a supportive leadership role and make a positive impact on care, people and unit performance.

• Registered Nurse, AHPRA registered or eligible to register
• Current or eligible practising certificate
• Proven cardiac nursing practice aligned to standards
• Clear communicator who guides, supports and resolves issues
• Ready to grow leadership skills and learn cardiac procedures
