WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This role offers an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary allied health team delivering high-quality, person-centred speech pathology services tailored to the needs of the local community.

As a Speech Pathologist (AHP1), you will work under the supervision of a Senior Speech Pathologist, contributing to the delivery of integrated services through preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches. You will collaborate with health professionals and service providers across sectors while developing your clinical skills within a supportive team environment.

As a Speech Pathologist (AHP2), you will apply consolidated clinical and primary health care experience to plan, implement and evaluate speech pathology services for both children and adults. Working under reduced clinical direction, you may contribute to the supervision of less experienced allied health staff, allied health assistants and students, while supporting service delivery within a primary health care framework.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Deliver evidence-based speech pathology services using preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluative approaches.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external service providers.
  • Support continuity and quality of care aligned to community needs.
  • Contribute to service planning, evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
  • For AHP2 roles, provide clinical guidance and supervision to less experienced staff and students as appropriate.

  • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You must hold a recognised qualification within Speech Pathology profession and be eligible for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association (SPA).
