About the Opportunity

Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Midwife Facilitator to join our Port Lincoln Hospital team. This part-time, temporary contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide expert support and guidance to healthcare staff until 9 August 2026.

As a Clinical Midwife Facilitator, you will deliver nursing and midwifery services across various health service settings, drawing upon your consolidated experience and further study. You will support staff development from competent to proficient practitioners, providing face-to-face, on-ground, and virtual support to promote reflective, evidence-based practice improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to graduate nurses and midwives through structured communication and supervision plans
  • Accept accountability for practice standards, delegated activities, and guidance of less experienced staff
  • Support Nurse Educators, Unit Managers, and Nurse Managers in delivering education services
  • Manage clinical education portfolios aligned with career development plans
  • Facilitate experience sharing and problem-solving initiatives

This predominantly clinical role includes appropriate portfolio responsibilities negotiated through your performance review and development planning process.
