About the Role

Lead patient safety across CALHN by shaping strong systems, clear governance and a learning culture. You’ll guide risk and incident practice, partner with leaders, and turn insight into action that lifts care quality and outcomes across all sites.

Key duties
• Lead patient safety and clinical risk systems across CALHN
• Drive risk practice aligned to national standards and policy
• Build team capability through coaching and targeted training
• Oversee incident, SLS and adverse event follow up
• Deliver timely RCA, reports, metrics and exec insight
• Partner with leaders to embed learning and reduce harm

About You

You bring strong clinical credibility and lead with purpose, clarity and care. You know how to turn risk insight into safer systems and guide people through change.

• Registered or eligible Nurse with NMBA practising certificate
• Proven lead in patient safety and clinical risk systems
• Confident with ISO 31000, WHS Act SA and safety policy
• Strong analysis, clear advice and quality written reports
• Lead teams, influence change and grow staff capability
