About the role

The Theatre Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative and reception support to the Operating Theatre Complex. Reporting via the Theatre Coordinator, the role helps coordinate theatre bookings, maintains theatre booking systems (ORMIS) and supports stock and audit processes.

Key duties of the role

  • Support elective and emergency theatre bookings and schedule changes
  • Liaise with theatre staff, medical teams and admin staff on daily lists
  • Enter, update and check theatre booking information in the theatre system (ORMIS)
  • Assist with stock ordering and receipting using ORACLE/Basware
  • Provide basic system support to staff using the theatre booking system

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and data entry
  • Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and manage competing tasks
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
