  • 18.75 hours per week, part-time across a 7-day 24-hour roster - progression to permanent
  • Salary OPS-1 $30,171 - $55,500 p.a. (Pro rata) + Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits - progression to OPS-2.
  • Salary OPS-2 $58,709 - $63,154 p.a. (Pro rata)+ Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits

About the role

As an Operational Services Officer, you’ll play a valued part in supporting the smooth delivery of essential laboratory services. Working under general direction, you’ll apply your practical skills and knowledge to a variety of tasks that ensure specimens are handled with care and accuracy. From sorting and accessioning specimens in line with established protocols to completing precise data entry and assisting with preparatory duties, your contribution will help maintain high standards across the service.

This role also offers meaningful interaction with both internal and external customers. You’ll manage enquiries in a professional, courteous manner, helping to create a positive and supportive experience for everyone you engage with. About You

You are a reliable and motivated team player who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. With strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach, you bring the skills and attitude needed to contribute effectively to laboratory services.

  • Ability to work with initiative under limited supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven skills in prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and performing effectively under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and customer service focus, with clear and professional communication skills
  • Ideally have experience in pathology laboratory operations, data systems and managing customer enquiries
