About the role

The Administration Officer provides high-quality customer service and administrative support for Child and Family Health Service sites. As the first point of contact, the role manages enquiries, records, referrals, meetings, and office operations to support staff, families, and service delivery.

Key duties of the role

  • Act as the ‘first point of contact’ for both front of counter and telephone customers
  • Identify customer needs and provide accurate and timely information
  • Direct enquiries to appropriate staff
  • Record client referral information while maintaining databases and waiting lists
  • Assist in arranging meetings, preparing agendas, and accurate recording and distribution of minutes

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a frontline customer service position within a Health Service
  • Knowledge of administrative systems, procedures, and guidelines
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity, integrity and confidentiality
  • Experience maintaining electronic and hard copy client records
